Sony’s PlayStation 5, a well-known electronics company, has sold more than 50 million units.
According to news agency AFP, Sony has said that demand for the PS5 in 2023 is high, partly because of its most popular games. These games also include ‘Baldor’s Gate Three’ and ‘Allen Wake Two’.
The PS5 was launched in November 2020 when the world was fighting the global pandemic of Corona. Sales of the model suffered initially due to supply chain issues and global chip shortages.

Despite this, Sony managed to achieve the PS5 sales milestone of 5 crores. Sony achieved this feat in the same period of time that sales of the previous PS4 model reached this milestone.
“We’re extremely excited that this is the first holiday season since launch that we’ve had a full supply of PS5 consoles, so anyone who wants to pick one up will be able to take advantage of it,” Sony president Jim Ryan said in a statement. Yes, he can take it.’

Since the release of the first PlayStation in the year 1994, Sony has emerged as the dominant player in console gaming, with current year revenues exceeding $53 billion.
The PS2 is still Sony’s best-selling gaming station with 15.5 million units sold, compared to 11.7 million units sold for the PS4.
In October, Sony’s Insomniac Games created ‘Marvel Spider-Man 2’, which became the best-selling PlayStation Studio Games game in its first twenty-four hours of release.

Since 2001, Microsoft’s Xbox has emerged as a major challenger to Sony’s PlayStation.
